I had a thought. This is 100% me. Nothing should be read into it. It’s little more than an opinion.
For context:
I have been watching and praying with the warriors of the Global Prayer For US Election Integrity. My role is to pray and agree with those who are meeting via Zoom. I watch the event on Facebook Live.
Because I am committed to the efforts of the prayer group, much of what I read, and hear are considered in that context.
A devotional I read included Isaiah 51:10-11.
I decided to read further. When I got to Isaiah 51: 21 the words had a whole new meaning. Read it for yourself Isaiah 51: 21-22. I read several translations. You can do the same with the link. (The internet is wonderful)
This is what I hear.
Judgments have fallen on America. We are an evil and corrupt generation.
The sins of abortion, sexual immorality, corruption in government, waging war are all part of the cause for God’s judgment on America.
What judgments?
Consider the points made by Jonathan Cahn in his books such as The Harbinger and The Oracle.
The attacks of 9/11 and the financial collapse of 2008 are cited. Then consider the pandemic sent to us and the world, by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I believe Isaiah is telling us that we are coming out of a hangover that had nothing to do with drunkenness. Rather, we are coming out of the hangover effect of the shaking. The judgments, God’s effort to get our attention, caused dizziness, a stupor so to speak.
I believe the prayers of repentance these past months, and now the prayers for righteousness and integrity are bearing fruit.
I think we can add the faithfulness of our President. His position on life, on corruption, on war, is obvious. He wants America to return to God.
My take.
God’s Word to Israel applies to America. “Look, I’ve taken back the drink that sent you reeling. No more drinking from that jug of my anger! I’ve passed it over to your abusers to drink…” (MSG)
Take heart America. God has this.
I have written previously about what we can expect. I believe we should not be surprised by what is about to happen. Praise God.
The battle we’re in is a spiritual one. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. I know a thing or two about it. My latest novel shows the good, the bad, and the really ugly of spiritual warfare. Read it today. Available in the Kindle store at Amazon.com
