President Donald Trump has been the subject of prophecy, lots of it. In the Pentecostal or charismatic Christian church, prophets are many and they have much to share.
The subject of prophets will instantly bring to mind the major prophets of scripture probably beginning with Isaiah, and Jeremiah. There were, and are, many more that are not known. Consider that the prophets of Baal confronted by Elijah were numbered at four hundred. Certainly, the prophets of The Lord would be greater.
As it pertains to the President. There is an overwhelming sense of many, including prophets, that he will remain in office for four more years. That should come as no surprise. It is widely believed, in Christin circles, that progressives, socialists, and socialist democrats are not in agreement with Christian beliefs. See what one television anchor had to say. “You’re not welcome in public.”
In the realm of prophecy, President Trump is considered an instrument of God. He is appointed for such a time as this to bring about the will of God. Christians anticipate ending abortion and the murder of millions of unborn babies as one example of needed change.
There is no doubt that Joe Biden, who has declared himself President-Elect, will not end abortion, but rather expand it. More babies will be killed in the womb. He has said so. He has also shown a willingness to repeal the Hyde Amendment and allow taxpayer money to fund the killing.
If a single issue is sufficient to have a second term, abortion is it.
For most denominational Christians, prophets and prophecy are a difficult idea to get past. When it comes to charismatics, speaking in tongues is one thing, thus sayth the Lord is something altogether different.
The popular denominational belief says that with the Council of Nicea in 325 AD, the gifts of the spirit ceased. Those gifts are outlined in scripture. St. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 12 just what the gifts are, and that all gifts come only from the Holy Spirit. Included is the gift of prophecy.
Romans 12, again from St. Paul, reminds believers that each will have gifts “according to the grace given to us.” Christians are to have “sober judgment” in the gifts they are given. The Bible also tells us in 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
The Bible is clear regarding the gifts. Why many Christians disapprove of the use of the gifts is a topic for another time.
It is reported that there are more than 60 million charismatic Christians in the United States. Most believe in the gifts of the Spirit. Many are ready to believe the prophets and what they proclaim?
Isaiah 45 allows for many to believe the prophecies that Donald Trump will serve a second term.
God uses flawed people to do His will.
The appointing of Cyrus the Great would allow the exiled people of Israel to return to their homeland. King Cyrus of Persia was not a follower of the God of Israel. Scripture refers to him as a pagan. God raised him up, gave him victory upon victory so he would be in a place to accomplish the will of God.
Like Cyrus, President Trump is an instrument of God to return America to a nation under God. Millions of Americans are praying and repenting for the great sins the nation has committed. Donald Trump will work to return America to the nation God raised up.
God works, even when it seems impossible.
There is a correlation between the Red Sea experience of Israel and the condition of post-election America. When the people of Israel reached the sea, Pharaoh had a change of heart and pursued them to kill them. There was no escape. Their condition seemed hopeless.
Donald Trump won the election. The evidence is clear. The fraud to steal it is now being uncovered. Will the whole truth be exposed before Joe Biden is sworn in on January 20, 2020? For many, it seems hopeless. That is the Red Sea scenario. Prophets are saying Trump will prevail.
Praying Christians expect God will deliver the victory. Unless He wishes that The United States collapse under the weight of her sin, God will rescue the nation. Evil and wickedness will not prevail.
The prophets agree. They are hearing from God. President Trump will continue in office. The question goes more to how will it occur.
Will God move in the hearts of men, give them the courage to do what is right, and expose the lies and the corruption? Will he move in a miraculous, supernatural way, as in the Red Sea to pull down wickedness?
The role of prophecy in this time has a purpose. God is telling His people that He is in control. He is encouraging the body of Christ to stand firm, trust Him, fear not. His will shall be done.
An important part of the prophecy is that people pray. The prayers of the righteous will accomplish it. That too is a prophecy.
Whatever happens, God will be Glorified.
