God is trying to get our attention. 9/11 was a warning, but America did not repent. There was a financial collapse in 2008, America did not repent. Now blatant corruption is at the gate, ready to take power in America. To transform the nation, limiting freedom and liberty.
God wants America to turn away from all the sins that have been allowed to occur. As a nation, the sins are sanctioned, approved at the highest levels. God wants America to repent and return to Him.
What if the standard for all things was perfection? Everything must be perfect. It is the standard and must be met. No excuses. If you’re not perfect, you’re not needed here.

Being perfect in all things is perhaps a standard that is best left to a very narrow field of achievement. Places like space travel and brain surgery.
Who have you lost this year? Whose death turned your life upside down? A parent, sibling, child, friend, boss, other relatives? They are all difficult moments. Times of weeping. Great grief that consumes nearly all of one’s being.
A good guess says that your loss was not of great significance to others. There was likely no mention on the news. Only an obituary, perhaps written by you, was in the daily paper. Flags were not lowered. You suffered a loss. Who noticed?

When Senator John McCain was diagnosed with brain cancer, my first immediate response was, “Oh no!”
Nobody should have to endure the pain, anguish, uncertainty, and in many cases, the finality of cancer. There are more people in my immediate family who have had cancer than there are those who have not.
My opinion of John McCain has not changed because he has fallen victim to a horrible disease. I wish it were not so. I pray that he not be ill.
What the senator did this week, voting against his party, his president and the American people is beyond understanding. I do get it, but understanding the mind that would do such a thing is truly unbelievable.
In my opinion, McCain acted out of spite, not because his decision was right. He voted against the President, in some perverted way perhaps, to get even. It was to stick a finger in the eye of someone he dislikes. He actually may hate his President.

It became known recently, that Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill, (Dem) an outspoken opponent of President Trump, has her own Russian connection.
McCaskill tweeted in March of this year. “No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever”.
Reports quickly disclosed that was not true. Here is what she tweeted on January 20, 2013. “Off to meeting w/Russian Ambassador.”
And this, August 6, 2015 “Today calls with British, Russian, and German Ambassadors”.
So much for never meeting or talking with the Russians.
