Do you know you’re saved? How do you know with absolute certainty, without any doubt whatsoever, that you will spend eternity in heaven with God? That you will miss the judgment and hell. That you will ‘dwell in the house of the Lord forever’.
Many evangelical Christians know the day they said the prayer. The time they finally accepted Jesus. But that is not the real question. Is it?
What was the real moment? When did you actually repent, ask for forgiveness for, (insert your confession), and turn away from sin, all sin? When did you actually begin to live the life that Christ desires of you… for all of us who are called by His name?
There has been much talk about ‘cheap grace’.
When was the last time you heard your pastor call out sin? When did you see a sinner come forward for salvation and then see them again, and again, and again in church? Are you seeing the fruits of salvation? Are you seeing deliverances, miracles, signs, and wonders? Are you seeing lives being changed because of the power of Christ?
If none of this is happening in your service then you need to ask yourself why not? Are you singing and swaying with hands lifted up in worship yet there is no real sense of the Holy Spirit ministering. It’s heartwarming, yet you don’t see lives being changed. Yours or anyone else’s. There are thousands around you yet you’re not sure God is listening.
Are You Hearing Costly Grace?
Christianity in America is in trouble. A serious look at the condition of the church leaves many with the sense that God has left the building.
Cheap Grace Tolerates The Sin God Hates.
God hates idolaters. God hates the killing of His children. God hates the blasphemy of twisting His word to embrace all manner of sexual sin. The lusts of the flesh, be it by those considered lowly in station, or by a pastor of thousands is still sin. God hates sin.
The Spirit of God has left to be with those who desire more than being told God loves them just the way they are. God wants to be with those who desire to glorify Him. Yes, you come as you are, but don’t stay that way. Surrender to Christ and become what God wants you to be.
Grace cost Jesus His life. He wants you to surrender yours.
America is beginning to see what the persecution of the church looks like. The pandemic proves that government is ready, willing, and able to close churches. To end the assembling of believers.
It has taken a Supreme Court order to allow Christians in California to assemble. In Canada, the government has placed a fence around a church to stop believers from attending. One courageous pastor has vowed to assemble in homes.
Have you taken your own faith temperature? Are you willing to be arrested for worshipping God? Is your pastor ready to stand up to authorities who deny religious freedom?
There is no room for cheap grace. The time has come for Christians to stand on the solid rock. It is time to humble ourselves, pray, seek the face of God, confess our sins and ask that God heal our land.
Now is the time to pray for revival.
