While reflecting on March for Life 2022, I posted the graphic you see here along with the comment, “God is Pro-life”.
Think about that for a moment. God is Pro-Life. (!)
Of course He is. He is the creator of life. Those that choose to destroy life, for whatever reason, are doing what God detests. They oppose the Creator.
How do we know? Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. NKJV
We know God is for life. We know that we, (mankind) are created in His image. He created man because of His love. What I want to do in this post is reflect on a few other things God is for.
What else?
God is Pro-Salvation
God wants each of us to receive the gift of salvation that comes through His Son, Jesus Christ. God tells us for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 NKJV.
God wants His creation to be saved. Saved from eternal judgment. Saved from hell.
God is for salvation. When we accept His gift, we are assured eternal LIFE with Him. That means we go to Heaven when we die.
Salvation is such a big deal that God sacrificed His son.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV
God is Pro-Marriage.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:24 NKJV
God is Pro-Work.
Consider 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12: 10. For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 11. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 12. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. NKJV
God is Pro-Children.
In a time when the trafficking of children is so prevalent, it is important to remember where God stands. There are few harsher words for the evil that abuses children. That includes leading the child away from God towards the powers of darkness.
I could write an entire post on this subject but for today know God loves His children.
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6.
God is Pro-Knowledge.
God wants us to know stuff. But not just stuff. God wants us to know the truth. God wants His creation to have wisdom. The ability to rightly apply knowledge
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 NKJV (it would be a good thing to read the whole chapter)
God is, Pro-Truth.
As I mentioned a moment ago, God is truth. Truth is not subjective. There is only one truth. All that God is, was, or ever will be is truth.
Jesus said so in John 14: 6. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
God is truth.
