The Last Days, What Are They?

The Last Days, what are they

Nothing in the Christian church is more confusing or misunderstood more, then ‘The Last Days.’

When hearing terms like the Rapture, End Times or the Apocalypse, many believers simply shake their heads. Not at all sure what it means.

It’s in the Bible so they believe, but many do not understand

The very idea of ‘The Last Days’ is unsettling.  There are Bible believing Christians totally unaware of the ‘End Times.’

The prophecies that describe ‘The Day of Judgement,’ is something most have never been taught.

The end times prophecies of the Bible are growing in interest with each passing day.

Social norms no longer exist. Truth is what people wish it to be. Men can be women, and women can be men. That’s okay for a lot of people. Not a majority but a very loud minority.

The reason seems obvious. The world is changing. And it is changing fast. What used to be up, is now down. What was once unthinkable has become normal.

The consequences don’t seem to be a problem. Intended or unintended.

Life has lost its value. Abortion is the 21st century version of child sacrifice. Some pro-choice advocates treat the aborting of babies as a human right.

For some, it is a ritual tantamount to a religious practice.

As to religion in the United States, Christians are continually targeted solely for their faith. There is an ever growing faction that believe freedom of religion no longer applies to Christians.

The events Internationally are just as disturbing. Israel is under assault, anti-semitism is on the rise.

Islamic terrorism is growing, even as ISIS seems to be in retreat. Each year the number of Christians being killed for their faith is growing.

Countries like Venezuela have lost nearly all freedoms. Basic human needs like food, water and medicine are all but gone. People are suffering to the point of death and the world is seemingly unconcerned.

Are These The Signs Of The Times?

To answer the question, we need to know what the signs are. But we also need to know what God has said about it.

If you have read any of the recent books written by Dr. David Jeremiah, you have a good idea of what’s happening.

Dr. Jeremiah is a prominent Christian pastor, author, and the founder of Turning Point Ministries. He has written extensively on bible prophecy.

His latest work, The Book Of Signs, 31 Undeniable Prophecies of the Apocalypse, is a well written explanation of each to the key points set out in Prophecy dealing with the final days on earth, centered around the Rapture.

The questions about current events and the signs of the times is handled clearly, especially for those with little or no previous exposure to the subject.

The Book Of Signs is so instructive that is has become the focus for many Christians in their small groups and bible studies.

The primary sources of prophecy come from two bible books. Daniel, and The Revelation of John. Many Bible readers find both books difficult to understand. Dr. David Jeremiah, changes that. The Book of Signs makes the prophecy of scripture understandable.

The Book of Signs explains the prophecies beginning with the key nations that are involved in the cascade of events leading to the last days.  Dr, Jeremiah then takes the reader through the cast of characters, who they are, and the roles they play.

Thirty one signs explained in thirty one chapters. The chapters are broken into five parts. The book is written almost a story. The reader sees the future of Earth as it is seen from God’s view.

You don’t have to be a student of the Bible, of Prophecy, or, for that matter a Christian, to understand the coming events.

Jesus Christ is returning to Earth as King. If this book does nothing else, it explains the need for the reader to be a Christian, a follower of Christ. The born-again Christian is spared the last days.

The Amazing Grace and Mercy of God Is In Full Display.

For those who reject Christ as their personal savior, the last days will be their worst nightmare.

This book is a valuable read. It is probably best to read it one chapter a day. Pray for understanding. A prayer that God will help you to grasp the enormity of the future days yet to come.
