Open Letter To Joe Biden
Hey Joe, I wanted to talk a moment. We’re sort of contemporaries. We’re both grandfathers, fathers, husbands, sons. But it really stops there.
About the only other thing we have in common is our parents were a part of the greatest generation.
Having said that, I feel compelled to share something I have that you may very well need. Initially, you may not want it, but it is vital that you do.
This latest revelation about your son Hunter and the money he’s taken from other countries was not a shock to you. That it came out, and when it came out, and how it came out was likely a surprise.
That it happened however, is not a surprise. It’s what you do. It’s what you’ve been doing for decades. It’s how you’ve lived. You probably think you could never have survived without taking the money. You may have said something like, ‘Everybody’s doing it. Why not me?’
Once the cash starts coming in, it’s like a drug. You just can’t stop. But you’ve seen what drugs will do to a person.
Look, I grieve with you in your suffering. Your losses had to have been heartbreaking. The early tragedy, then your son Beau. It’s a hard thing to deal with.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t give you a pass. I know parents that have suffered as much, or worse than you. Tragedy does not allow bad behavior. Bad behavior? Some are calling you a traitor.
It begs the question. Did you really think no one would ever find out? Even Bernie Madoff knew that someday he would get caught.
You betrayed the trust given to you to enrich yourself and your family. Eventually, it had to come out.
Bernie took down his whole family. Everybody lost everything. His sons lost the most. What’s going to happen to the Bidens?
But I digress. To my point. You are in the winter of life. You likely have a few years left, if that. You know you’re suffering from what millions of others have suffered.
You saw what President Reagan went through. There is no shame in it. It is a part of life. I have seen it in my own home.
But what about your soul? What is going to happen to Joe Biden when you draw your last breath.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36
I can not see into your heart. Nobody can. But God does. He knows what you have done. Why you’ve done it, and how you feel about it.
Your soul Joe. Your soul is at stake. Do you really think that selling out your country would not come with a price? An eternal price?
Your days are numbered. You have two choices. Confess, repent, ask God to forgive you, ask Christ to come into your heart. Ask Jesus to save you.
Or, you can continue to be the fake huckster you are. You can pretend that God does not see what you have done. You can continue to think that your ‘ah sucks’ style will play with the God of Heaven. Your Creator.
It’s time Joe. It’s over. Not the election, it’s a few days off. But it’s over for you. Even if you win, they won’t let you run anything. You’ve been played, but you know that.
You have a choice to make. Do you want to play it out, cause all sorts of problems for your family, or do you want to repent, ask God to forgive you, and take your lumps like the kid from Scranton?
It worked for Chuck Colson, it’ll work for you.
Stop Joe. Stop and think. Is eternal suffering worth your idea of how history will remember you? When you die, everything about you dies with you. If you’re going to die, Joe, take your chances with Jesus. It’s the only thing you have left. Don’t blow it.
