No, Joyce – A Spiritual Warfare Novel was written for unbelievers so that they might believe.
Yes, you read that correctly. There is a long explanation, but the intent of the book is to help those who don’t get the whole “being saved” thing. By reading it, they will realize there is a purpose for salvation.
Are you praying? Specifically, are you praying for America? Are you seeking an honest election result? Are you asking the Lord for truth and justice?
The Presidential election is not decided. If you believe the news, you will think that Joe Biden was elected.
The truth is, there is no winner. The votes are not final. No votes have been certified. Every vote has not been counted. In addition, there are serious questions about votes that have been counted.
Have you heard of Global Prayer for U.S. Election Integrity?
When I learned of a Global virtual prayer meeting to be live-streamed, I had to attend. The heart of those praying for America and the world was staggering. Being in the presence of so much faith had an effect that I did not expect.
I did not expect to be overwhelmed by the spirit of God, but that is what happened.
America has been under attack from forces, some of which are not of this world, for more than four years. The election of 2020 is a culmination of the attacks and it’s evil. Perhaps an evil greater than the plague that came from China.
Do you ever do What ifs? What if this happens, or what if that happens?
I was tempted to do exactly that several days ago. To list ‘what ifs’. To speculate how I would react. What would I do?
About what, you ask?
What would I do if the President was not re-elected? On the day following the election, that possibility seemed all too likely.
I was having trouble getting my head around the choices of so many who call themselves conservative. Historically, they’ve been considered to be on the right. Did They sell us out?
I wasn’t going to name names but I changed my mind.
Do the likes of President Bush and his family hate President Trump so much that they are willing to let the country become a socialist nation?
Does the widow of John McCain so despise the President that she will forfeit the blessings of prosperity, just to get even with a man she dislikes?
Do these right-leaning globalists of the Washington swamp really believe that when Trump is gone, the left will like them?
Maybe it’s just me, but recent comments on the presidential race have me scratching my head. Really! This almost feels personal, that my choice is not so clear.
What am I talking about? Certain theologians are not telling me (us) how to vote, but rather explaining why my (our) vote could be wrong. It’s almost like, ‘I know you’re sincere, but you’re sincerely wrong.’
I take it to mean that neither choice (candidate) is worthy of support. I wonder who the theologians with all the answers will pick. Or is that left to the less sincere?
Are you ready for revival? Are you ready for a Great Awakening? Are you ready for God to shake the nation, all the people of every tongue, and tribe? A mighty move in the hearts of the people calling them back to Him? Then pray.
God is trying to get our attention. 9/11 was a warning, but America did not repent. There was a financial collapse in 2008, America did not repent. Now blatant corruption is at the gate, ready to take power in America. To transform the nation, limiting freedom and liberty.
God wants America to turn away from all the sins that have been allowed to occur. As a nation, the sins are sanctioned, approved at the highest levels. God wants America to repent and return to Him.
Hey Joe, I wanted to talk a moment. We’re sort of contemporaries. We’re both grandfathers, fathers, husbands, sons. But it really stops there.
About the only other thing we have in common is our parents were a part of the greatest generation.
Having said that, I feel compelled to share something I have that you may very well need. Initially, you may not want it, but it is vital that you do.
What if the standard for all things was perfection? Everything must be perfect. It is the standard and must be met. No excuses. If you’re not perfect, you’re not needed here.
Crazy, right?
Being perfect in all things is perhaps a standard that is best left to a very narrow field of achievement. Places like space travel and brain surgery.
Who have you lost this year? Whose death turned your life upside down? A parent, sibling, child, friend, boss, other relatives? They are all difficult moments. Times of weeping. Great grief that consumes nearly all of one’s being.
A good guess says that your loss was not of great significance to others. There was likely no mention on the news. Only an obituary, perhaps written by you, was in the daily paper. Flags were not lowered. You suffered a loss. Who noticed?
